Hangar 32 exhibit space
Project Exhibit Space
Converted in 2001 by the Urban Community, this former industrial hangar on the banks of the Loire is today run by Samoa. Hangar 32 is first and foremost the special exhibit space for the urban project. It is attracting more and more people, with more than 20,000 visitors in 2007-2008, compared to 3700 in 2006. It is also a meeting space, where the Neighbourhood Consultation Committee gathers to discuss local issues. Finally, this is where French and foreign delegations are received when they travel to Nantes to discover the Ile de Nantes project. Nearly 90 tours were held in 2007, including some 40 school field trips.
Open to the public Friday to Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. Free admission, guided tours.
