Prairie au Duc School
Initiative to build a new school complex in the western part of the Ile de Nantes, composed of a pre-school, an elementary school and a recreation centre.
The design will include a rooftop garden.
The design, construction methods and diverse functions of the facility are in keeping with sustainable development objectives and will create a pleasant setting for the children who attend the school.
It will be built in two phases, to increase capacity as the neighbourhood develops. (1st phase: 10 classes, 2nd phase: 14 classes)
The operation is receiving funding from the European Commission for its energy efficiency, under the Act2 project of the Concerto Initiative.
