Slipways 2 & 3

Rehabilitation of Slipways 2 & 3 and creation of a Shipyards City. 

Slipway 2 will house various associations involved in promoting the river. 

A public pathway will be built on top of the slipway continuing on from the Shipyards Park, creating a belvedere offering a unique view of the entire Shipyards site. 

Slipway 3 will be made available to local actors, in particular associations working on the industrial and maritime history of Nantes.  It will be an exhibit space where people can get information about the shipbuilding activity and heritage. Slipway 3 will be rehabilitated identically to its former state, when it functioned as a boat launch.           

The Shipyards City  will be delivered in the spring of 2009. and will provide new business, office and storage space.
